Experienced Chief Technical Officer who managed numerous Engineering and Product Management teams in multiple Public Listed Companies. He has led teams of up to 120 technical staff across 3 continents. During his career he has been involved in over 20 merger, acquisition and disposal processes.

Neil led Engineering and Product Management teams in a variety of companies. These companies have included PLCs – in FTSE100 and ASX listed companies, Private Equities, family owned businesses and VC backed startups. He has worked in teams focused on applied research, in the fabless semiconductor industry, in product development and has led the system design for the roll out of multiple national communications systems.

Neil has always worked in leading edge technology business; ranging from working on the first Digital Cellphone equipment in the late 80s, to playing a key role in the creation of Digital TV in the 90s, from there he led the team that produced the first >100Mbps DVB-S2 IP traffic & military satellite modems in the 2000’s and since then focused on innovative IP radio systems.

Over the last 25 years his work, and the work of the teams he has led, has delivered well over $1B of revenue.

Fun fact: Outside of work (in his dreams), Neil is a semi-pro cricketer… or maybe he just enjoys a run around on a Saturday!

Radically Unwired is privileged to be able to call upon Juan Navarro as a senior advisor when required. Juan has an almost unrivalled depth of experience across several technology companies that have worked in a range of markets, in both the Commercial and Government spaces.

Juan is an extremely experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of successful technology turnarounds in multiple market segments. Skilled in Enterprise Software, Strategic Partnerships, Systems Engineering, Team Building, and Management. Juan is a proven strong business development professional with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of Maryland College Park. Juan has led multinational companies with revenues ranging for $100M to $1B USD. Juan has executed numerous successful business transitions and is well connected in the Private Equity and Banking sectors.

Most recently, Mr. Navarro was the CEO of HDT, a $400M Expeditionary, Power, Robotics, and Missile Transport Company, where he led a restructuring effort. Prior to HDT, he was the CEO of Domo Tactical Communications (DTC), a Private Equity (Marlin) backed technology firm specializing in communications and secure surveillance products for DoD & Law Enforcement (LE) Agencies. During his tenure, Mr. Navarro realigned DTC to focus on critical programs of record in DoD, US, and international LE markets. Mr. Navarro successfully guided the sale of DTC in May of 2021.

Callum, a highly versatile Research and Development Engineer was the second Radically Unwired employee and joined Neil in March 2024.

Callum has a First Class B.Sc. degree in Mathematics from the prestigious Edinburgh university.

During his time at Radically Unwired, Callum’s primary focus has been the development of the ReFramer video transcoder, where he gained extensive experience in video processing, IP networking, Web UI and embedded software development. Callum is also actively involved in the development of time acquisition algorithms used in the Radically Unwired waveform designs.

Callum is currently investigating the use of AI modelling in video processing, as part of a Radically Unwired research and feasibility study project.

Fun fact: In his spare time Callum is a keen runner, maybe we’ll see him at an ultra soon!

Joel, a highly versatile Research and Development Engineer, joined Radically Unwired in October 2024.

Joel arrived with a First Class degree in Computer Science from the University of Bath. Joel brings experience working as a Software Engineer in a large UK Defence company and has a huge interest in software and in efficiently solving complex problems.

Joel’s experience encompasses software development in a multitude of languages working in Windows, Linux and embedded systems environments. Joel has worked on mission critical applications and developed software in the area of Human Computer Interaction research.

Joel is currently focusing on the algorithms behind our waveform development, specifically on digital signal processing and embedded software..

Fun fact: Joel enjoys formula one and the world rally championship. He even developed a driving simulator for his dissertation.

Louise Davis, a highly versatile Research and Development Engineer, joined Radically Unwired in April 2025.

Arriving with a MEng in Electronics and Information from Imperial College, she brings a breadth of expertise in embedded software and has both extensive real-world experience and a theoretical background in signal acquisition.

Louise is currently focusing on digital signal processing, embedded software and web design on Radically Unwired waveform developments. She also has experience working on Linux systems and on Web UI development for mobile devices.

Fun fact: Louise is a Pitbull fan and participated in breaking the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps.

Radically Unwired is delighted to have employed James, a highly versatile Research and Development Engineer.

James has joined Radically Unwired as a Research and Development Engineer. He arrived with a First Class Electrical and Electronics BEng from Bristol. James’ thesis involved investigating the boost stage in the powertrain of a Toyota Prius.

James is currently working on the development of ReFramer. He has experience in digital and embedded electronics, as well as user interface design and working on Nvidia platforms.

Fun fact: James enjoys hiking volcanoes, having summitted one in Indo!

After a mid-career gap year, to study for an MSc in Renewable Energy, John returned to his first love – embedded software development. Now in the era of multi-core 32 & 64 bit microcontrollers, with FreeRTOS and embedded Linux the skills in systems level development have come to the fore. Recent highlights have included developing the control software for a heat pump from scratch in C++ and ongoing development of software for a mesh based SDR platform running embedded Linux on an FPGA SoC.

John is currently working on software to provide a gateway between an SDR based mesh network and local IP infrastructure, using a proprietary protocol.

Fun fact: When not poking around microcontrollers John can be found exploring the lanes of Hampshire on a bicycle.
