Introducing the ReFramer Video Product Range

Our first range of radical products targets the growing video transcoding market.

Our products accept: Both full 1080p60 HD video streams and SD streams from H.264 and HEVC IP cameras and from USB UVC compatible JPEG and H.264 USB cameras. Our technology processes this video via a variety of optimized techniques to achieve these remarkably low bitrates. It can also be configured to trigger and capture image sequences at highest quality based on both motion triggers and object classification models running on the live stream. Perfectly suited for both video surveillance and drone video transmission applications.

The product ranges include a dedicated hardware product (ReFramer PRO), a PCB only offering (ReFramer PCB) for OEM customers and COTS product implementation (ReFramer ACE).

ReFramer Family Features

Integration with third-party systems and solutions is simplified via the ReFramer’s use of industry standard Video streaming codecs – an optimized standards compliant H.264 encoder or HEVC encoder is used for the output video streams – and the use of standard ‘rtsp’ and ‘udp’ video streaming protocols.

The use of standards’ compliant IP video streams and industry standard still imagery files enables easy integration into Video Management Solutions (VMS) products and databases. Status reporting is via JSON messaging and can be integrated into third-party management systems

ReFramer PRO supports web-browser configuration, control and monitoring. Live video viewing is available through the standard web-browser interface enabling video viewing on Chrome™ and Safari™ browsers on Apple™ and Android™ products. Additionally the web interface enables the viewing of triggered events.  

ReFramer PRO offers three physical IP Ethernet interfaces, two USB interfaces and optional Dual Band Wi-Fi. The ReFramer PRO also offers dual NIC capability enabling the product to bridge a ‘dirty side’ network to a ‘clean side’ network.

Dual Channel IP and USB Video Transcoder

Compress any IP or USB camera feed to under 10 kbps and transmit high-quality images over any IP link

ReFramer transcodes up to two high-definition IP or USB camera feeds for transmission over cellular or other low-bandwidth IP networks. It compresses up to 30 Mbps of video into output streams below 10 kbps while maintaining image quality.

The system can also capture high-resolution image sequences automatically, triggered by motion detection and can identify people and vehicles using AI-based object classification running on the live video stream.

Designed for low power consumption, ReFramer runs on an ultra-compact hardware platform capable of simultaneously transcoding two independent camera feeds into two separate IP output streams. Ideal for video surveillance, remote monitoring and drone video transmission

The ReFramer ACE also accepts SD and full 1080p60 HD streams from H.264 and HEVC IP cameras and from USB UVC compatible JPEG and H.264 USB cameras.  Radically Unwired technology processes this video via a variety of optimized techniques to achieve these remarkably low bitrates.

The ReFramer ACE product runs the ReFramer PRO software on Commercial Off The Shelf Linux PC hardware.

ReFramer PRO offers tone physical IP Ethernet interfaces, two USB interfaces and optional Dual Band Wi-Fi.
